2018 Competition: Day 2

We're up bright and early again! The Breakfast Club lived up to it's name and actually had breakfast together this morning (and had a quick coffee run) before heading back to the UNI-dome for the beginning of the competition! We listened to the Brazil's and Turkey's national anthems, along with the USA's, before we began competing. Our team won our first match! After the first round we're ranked #4!
After our first amazing win, the building team went straight to work. We had a bit of trouble controlling the arms of our robot, but the team came up with a genius solution! They used ring bolts to block the arms from swinging violently around, and now they are much more controllable!
We did very well the rest of the day too! Out of our 7 matches, we only lost 3 of them (which is pretty impressive for a rookie team). We're very proud of how well we've done today and how much we've improved over the season. For example, we used to have to struggle with our bumpers and getting them on correctly, and today we were able to get them on quickly between rounds without any trouble! We're so grateful for our amazing coaches for pushing us this whole season so we can be where we are now. Can't wait to see what the rest of the weekend has in store for us!
